Privacy policy

Effective November 8, 2026.

Amazing IDE is a desktop app for macOS. It runs on your Mac, and the developer runs no server that receives your data. This policy explains what the app does with your data, and with Google user data in particular.

Google user data the app accesses

Only after you connect a Google account in the IDE and allow it on Google's consent screen:

How the app uses it

Only to do what you ask the AI assistant in the IDE to do: search and read mail, create and edit drafts, change labels, move threads to trash, read, create and change calendar events. Sending mail, answering invitations and inviting guests happen only if you turn these actions on yourself in the IDE.

Where it is stored

Your Google sign-in tokens are stored on your Mac, encrypted with a key kept in the macOS Keychain. The app does not keep its own copies of your mail or events. What the AI assistant reads becomes part of the conversation, and the assistant keeps that conversation on your Mac in its history.

Who receives it

Mail and events that the AI assistant reads are sent to the AI provider you use in the IDE, for example Anthropic for Claude, as part of the conversation and under that provider's terms. Requests to Gmail and Google Calendar go directly from your Mac to Google.

The developer does not receive your Google data, does not sell it, does not use it for advertising and does not use it to develop or train AI models. No one else gets it from the app.

Amazing IDE's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Other data

The app has no analytics or tracking. It checks GitHub for new versions; GitHub sees your IP address when it does.

Removing access

Remove the connector in the IDE to delete its sign-in tokens from your Mac. You can also revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Conversation history is managed by the AI assistant you use.

Children

The app is not meant for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
